Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CircuitSimulate (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. They are meant to be readable, not to trap you — if anything is unclear, ask us.
The Service
CircuitSimulate is a free, browser-based circuit simulator. It is provided at no cost and without a required account. We may change, add or remove features over time, and we may occasionally have to interrupt availability for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Simulation is a model, not reality
This is the most important thing to understand. CircuitSimulate is a tool for education and design exploration. Its results come from a numerical model of idealised components and are subject to modelling assumptions, simplifications and numerical limits.
- A working simulation is not a guarantee that a physical circuit will behave the same way.
- Do not rely on it for safety-critical, medical, or life-supporting decisions.
- Always validate a design with real measurement and sound engineering judgement before building, powering or shipping hardware.
You are responsible for how you interpret and apply the results.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law or to infringe someone else's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the Service or the infrastructure it runs on.
- Reverse the Service's protections in order to abuse it, or use it to distribute malware.
- Misrepresent the Service's output as a certified or validated engineering analysis.
Your content
The circuits and projects you create are yours. They are stored locally in
your browser and we do not claim ownership of them. Because your work stays on your device
(see the privacy policy), keeping backups — for example by exporting
to JSON — is your responsibility.
Intellectual property
The Service itself — its software, design, branding and content that we author — is owned by CircuitSimulate and protected by applicable law. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the Service as intended.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results will be correct, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it is free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CircuitSimulate and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, hardware or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited accordingly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
